UITC is an invention to help people of all age groups and backgrounds to understand and live in the new digital age. The impetus for it arises from the feeling that those who cannot or will not use computer technology are likely to become digital age illiterates.

While our children will no doubt cope, it is not easy for middle aged and senior citizens to come to grips with the tools of a fast moving information society. We have the belief however, that in order to live, prosper and feel fulfilled in this new age, our culture needs to be familiar and comfortable with using technology.

Our activities include:
IT training and practice
Office Services
Email and Internet access cafe
Provision of IT small project work station

UITC won funding from the Department of Public Enterprise under the CAIT (Community Application of Information Technology) Initiative in 2001. This proved an exciting and fruitful development. Click here for CAIT >>
